Here are the materials from my actual application.

Resume (Best viewed on a laptop/computer)
Essay 1 (Opportunity/Challenge) - I did not do too well on this one, I tried to force myself to turn nothing into something (Advice: If you can, play to your demographics/diversity, UT Austin loves diversity (ex. Immigrant, 1st gen student, minority)
Short Answer 1 (Major) (MOST IMPORTANT ESSAY) - I tried to force myself to write about and apply to something I wasn't really interested in (McCombs School of Business) and it did not work out well, on the pre-health track your major does not matter, most do Biology because the pre-requisites for medical/dental/pharmacy schools are already included within the degree (but for the most part so is chemistry, biochemistry, nutrition, public health, and neuroscience), I personally am trying to transfer into Nutrition currently because the classes are interestingÂ
Short Answer 2 (Leadership) - This essay was probably the best out of all of the ones I wrote, I was a coach for youth flag football along with being class Treasurer for all four years so my experiences and content were genuine and integrated with what the prompt was asking for fairly well
Short Answer 3 (Change the World) - Logically quite possibly the most useless prompt ever, this is because there is no way a 17/18 year old will know how to change the world without sounding cliche. My answer was actually not the worst because I went for a micro-level approach that was a bit more realistic but it was not great by any means (BE GENUINE IN YOUR WRITING, IT IS SO EASY TO TELL WHEN SOMEONE IS LYING)
Letters of Recommendation - I don't think I got to review them before they were sent in but one was from Ms. Gross (my AP US History teacher) and Mrs. Soto (my original class sponsor), these aren't the biggest deal I've heard but it is still good to get them
Results
1st Choice : McCombs (Business) - REJECTED
2nd Choice: CNS (Public Health) - REJECTED
3rd Choice: COLA (Undeclared) - Accepted (if you are an auto-admit, you will be guaranteed your third choice)
Conclusion
I only applied to UT Austin so I had no choice but to go here
If you are trying to get into the really competitive majors (Business, Any Engineering, Computer Science, Nursing, Neuroscience, Biochemistry) it is recommended to have the following stats before anything (Top 2% of your class by the end of junior year, 1450+ SAT or 33+ ACT)
My rank and test scores were not even remotely close to the average for McCombs so it did not matter what I did on my resume
If I could go back and do it I would put Chemistry or Nutrition as my first choice because those are the subjects I have fallen in love with thus far
Since most of us Pre-health students are majoring in Biology, you typically will get in if you are within the top 3%-4% (there are so many people in the Biology major it isn't the most competitive but do not think it's a free entry)
Your major does not matter if you are Pre-health, some majors I have seen among just Pre-dents is Business (McCombs), Electrical Engineering (Cockrell), Informatics (iSchool), Nutrition (CNS), Health & Society (COLA), and even English (COLA).
Check out the UT Health Professions Office website and explore it to find what you want to do and the required courses for each profession
If you are also a Pre-Dental student, I can help you with getting into volunteering and shadowing
